Hello readers,
Last weekend I had a chance to have a photo shoot session with Marina. She was Fadhil’s schoolmate and this was her first photo shoot. It was easy to work with Marina because she loves the camera and the camera love her too
. Despite the fact that this is her first time, she’s a quick learner and I was kinda impressed how she managed to make herself comfortable in front of the camera. Of course, boleh improve lagi, but for a ‘first-timer’ like her, she is awesome.
We shall have more sessions with her after this one. Hmmm… I currently have some ideas for her next shoot. Bilelah agaknye? Tunggu jelah….
. Thanks, Marina.

I guess I just got so hooked up with the Friends For Sale application in Facebook. Hence the title for this post
. Don’t worry friends, I’m not gonna sell u for real. But if any of you would like to be traded by me in Facebook, do add me up, ya
? Find out how to find us or Cherita Pictures in Facebook by referring to the About page on this website.
Actually, this entry is merely a token of appreciation to our friends who has been very kind to pose for us upon our request. We do have other friends who have posed for us, and I’ll try to create a blog entry for them as well. It’s 2.43 am and I must get some sleep
.
Please be reminded that these people are not models and have no intention to become a professional model. I’m just blessed to have these people around me.
Arsheeda
She is a childhood friend of mine and she loves being photographed. The session was carried out in an abandoned building at Jalan Cochrane, Cheras.

Atie
Atie is actually my friend’s roomie. The session was carried out in a living room of an apartment. Thank you, Atie.

Nani
Hahahahaa… Actually, I have many other shots of her. She was my roomie back in 2004 when we stayed in Shah Alam and to me, she’s already considered as family. I think maybe I should also post some photos when we both were in the mess of baking cakes during the last Eid. Hahahaha…. it was hillarious…

The man himself
Need any introduction? He’s taken

Last Saturday, Fadhil and I had the opportunity to meet Nisa - a new talent in the making. Nisa is only 19, and we were introduced to Nisa by Erman during our photoshoot session in Putrajaya. It was a rainy day, so we did’nt get a chance to shoot outdoor for the TFCD session.
Being a new talent, Nisa is still in the process of learning to pose for the camera, or shall I say, learning to get familiar with her body. However her friendly personality has helped a lot in allowing us to communicate with her and giving directions. Nisa is easy to work with, and I believe, given enough coaching and guidance, she will be able to shine in no time. All the best to you, Nisa.
Posing in front of the camera as a model is not simply piece of cake. Being unfamiliar with your own body is the main reason why not everyone can simply strike a pose in front of the camera. Though many will easily strike a pose when they are ‘camwhoring’, it feels totally different when you are surrounded by lighting and a few other people who are not your personal friends.
Normal people usually needs the help of props in order to make them feel comfortable to pose for a picture. They either sit, or stand beside a wall, or pose in a group of two or more. Little do they know that, without any of those additional help, they will tend to remain stiff in their pose, especially when they are required to pose while standing.
A photographer should be able to communicate with the model in order to help the subject to feel comfortable and understand the direction given to her/him. By writing this blog, I’m learning here myself. I’ll write more about this in future, so that we can all learn together, no?
And to all sifus out there, feel free to share your opinions as well.
To any of you out there who are interested in having a TFCD session with us, do contact us. Jangan malu, jangan segan…..
If we can find some time to fit you in our schedule, why not..?

David from Switzerland and Zsuzsanna from Hungary, got married on 080808 (Hmmm..that’s a very unique date). 2 days after their marriage, they flew to Malaysia for their honeymoon and I was given the chance to shoot them while they hangout around KL city, on the 13th of August.
David himself is a photographer, and his works can be found at http://www.fotogenius.ch. I know David from PhotoMalaysia.com photography forum, back in 2007. We met for the 1st time when David came to Malaysia on 2007 for a vacation, alone. And this year he came back to Malaysia, with his newly wed wife. Hopefully the next time they visit Malaysia, there will be 3 of them…The more the merrier….
David, the next time you visit Malaysia, don’t forget to give me a call, so that we can hangout at our usual spot : the camera shops… Heheheeee….

I had a chance to shoot one of my little cousin - Yaya. She is very bubbly and will always smile from afar, whenever anyone call out her name, but will never easily settle for a shoulder, a hug or even a kiss on her cheek, unless she is so much used to the person. Nevertheless, she’s always the bubbliest.
But during these few shots, she seems to be very comfortable with Patrick (SpongeBob’s best buddy), that she almost totally turned her ‘bubbly switch’ off, to enjoy her friendship with her new friend. I couldn’t remember how many times I talked to myself about how cute she is during the shoot and the post process.
Guys, actually I would love to write more , but I’m currently too sleepy and weak. Well, Ramadhan is just around the corner now, so I must finish some incomplete tasks - if you know what I mean. My bad - procrastination…!!
A few other photos can be viewed at my flickr . O my, I can’t wait to get Yaya’s photos framed….!!!
“Mmmm… I love you, Patrick”

“Can I hear your heart beat…?”
