Nor Maslina & Yuszamir adalah klien kami untuk  majlis pertunangan mereka, kemudian perkahwinan, dan sekarang kami diberi peluang mengabadikan potret cahaya mata mereka, Nur Widad Kamilah. Kami baru saja selesai sesi proofing gambar-gambar berkenaan dan esok saya akan mulakan kerja printing dan framing. Untuk entri kali ini, saya kongsikan cuma 1 gambar saja dulu. Lagipun, Mas, Mat (nama panggilan untuk Yuszamir) dan ahli keluarga yang lain sudah pun saya berikan akses kepada proofing gallery sementara tunggu prints dan frames siap.

I’m planning to share some brief tips on photographing babies/infants, tapi rasanya tunggu selepas saya boleh letakkan gambar-gambar lain daripada series Widad ni, jadi boleh kita rujuk sama-sama, ok kawan-kawan?

Widad ni comel sangat, dia asyik tidur saja mulanya, tapi ada teknik nak bagi dia sedar - picit tapak kaki dia. So cute, kan?Allright, I’ll leave you guys wondering and waiting for the rest of the series. For now, here’s the one I promised. Chill..

Lalu kami jawap, kami tidak ada pakej, tapi anda boleh mix and match berpandukan senarai harga kami,  mengikut bajet anda. Instead of giving you a ready-made package which might include things that you do not need, we prefer to let you choose what’s best for your budget. Ada pelanggan datang kepada kami dan berkata ” Si Fulan Photography tu bagi saya pakej begitu, dan begini. Dalam pakej tu include itu, itu, ini dan ini, dan pakej tu harga dia begini”. Kalau anda juga datang kepada kami dengan statement begitu, saya akan kata ” Well, ok, that is the package that you WANT, but is that what you NEED?

So, the best answer we can give you when you ask about the package that we offer, we’d be glad to say:

As you wish!

Why limit yourself to a ready-made option when you can have it tailor-made for you according to your need, kan? Kan? Kan? Some people don’t quickly understand this when we hand them our promotional price list .

So, from now on, I’ll try to write more on some ‘case-studies’ to help you understand how our previous clients tailor-made their own package for photography service from us. Here, we’ll talk about a tailor-made option chose by Ain & Kay for their precious wedding celebration. We covered their solemnisation (nikah) ceremony and wedding reception, both on separate days (Friday night and Sunday, respectively).  Whilst some people might choose to have 2 different albums for the two events, this couple chose to have 1 album and that album is the Coffee-Table Book type.

From our experience (in Malaysia, of course ), not many people choose Coffee-Table Book as their wedding album.  Normally, people will opt for a Storyboard Album (or some people call it as Custom Album or Flush Mount Album) which is bigger in size (I’ll write more about Storyboard Album next time, ok? ). But hey, Coffee-Table Book is yet another stylish way to show off your wedding moments! Like we said here, don’t we just love things that are so simple yet so perfect?

So what does a Coffee-Table Book look like?/ Macam mana rupa Coffee-Table Book ?

Our Coffee-Table Book has 40 pages (compared to 20 pages in Storyboard Album), and the pages are thin enough to make the book lighter and easy to flip-through, yet still maintain the long-lasting paper quality. Untuk Ain & Kay, 40 mukasurat tersebut diisi dengan susunatur gambar-gambar dari majlis pernikahan dan persandingan mereka, termasuklah gambar-gambar daripada sesi portrait berasingan mereka di Bagan Lalang.

Oleh kerana album perkahwinan anda sepatutnya menjadi kenangan anda yang sangat bernilai, kami lebih suka berkreativiti dengan menyusun atur  HANYA gambar-gambar hari bahagia anda, dan bukan dengan corak/motif asing yang bersifat memenuhi ruang semata-mata. Kami yakin, gambar-gambar anda lebih bermakna tanpa ‘rimbunan’ motif/corak pelbagai bentuk itu :p, kerana album anda bukan sehelai kain batik dan bukan juga sekeping poster .  Jika pelanggan kami mahu kami ‘catatkan’ sajak atau bait-bait tertentu yang mempunyai nilai peribadi tersendiri bagi mereka untuk diabadikan di dalam album tersebut, kami dengan besar hati akan lakukan.

We used to design the book  in approximately 8 inch x 10 inch size, TETAPI, cuba teka apa berita terbaru dan terbaik kami bawa kali ini? Our Coffee Table Book now comes in the size of 8 inch x 11 inch! Hampir sama dengan ukuran kertas A4. So now the Coffee Table Book gets bigger in size, at the same price-no additional cost!  Sorry Ain, we have not come up with this offer for the price that you got for your wedding . But if you think of making another album, you know how to get in touch with us .

The album/book comes with personalised hardcover, jadi anda tak perlu risau, album anda tidak akan mudah rosak seperti koleksi majalah-majalah anda, walaupun helaian mukasuratnya seperti majalah.

The best part about having a coffe table book type of album that I like the most is - the book easily fits in a medium handbag, jadi sangat mudah nak bawa ke mana-mana dan show off pada saudara-mara dan kawan-kawan! Yeay..!

Oowh, kalau ada yang tertanya-tanya kenapa namanya dipanggil ‘Buku-Meja-Kopi’, I tell you, it’s lightweight dan comel. Letak di meja kopi rumah anda, tiap-tiap kali ada tetamu datang, mesti semua nak tengok. No kidding !

Jadi, berapa jumlah harga yang perlu anda bayar supaya kami dapat mengabadikan majlis pernikahan dan 1 majlis persandingan ke dalam sebuah coffee-table book? Rujuk senarai harga kami, dan anda cuma perlu jumlahkan ini : RM650.00(nikah) + RM860.00(sanding) + RM370.00(coffee-table book). Tak susah mix and match dengan senarai harga kami, kan?

Ever been to a spa and greeted with lime or lavender scent? Jazman & Mariana’s wedding reception on last 15th August 2009, reminded us to the refreshing scent of lime and lavender. Some people might hesitate to wear a combination of strong colours, but this couple flaunted the combination of lime green and purple colour brilliantly and flawlessly.

Well, as the title goes, this is entry is merely a teaser. Please bear with us , as we continue expediting the post processing and album design works. Kami sedang meng’ekspress’kan segala-galanya, sebab kami merancang untuk cuti panjang bermula 1 minggu sebelum hari raya.

Jadi, kami tease sikit-sikit saja, ya? Selebihnya kena tunggu…… . Biar misteri, macam gambar Mariana di bawah ni. Bukan, bukan. Itu bukan gambar tak jadi, tapi memang sengaja dijadikan begitu. Khas untuk tujuan teaser  .  Sabar, ya? Bulan Ramadhan ni, banyakkan bersabar dan selamat meneruskan ibadah puasa .

What more can we say. From the engagement, to the solemny, and right through the wedding reception, semuanya serba sempurna. Flawless. I must say that majlis perkahwinan Kay & Ain adalah antara majlis perkahwinan yang kami tunggu-tunggu, sebab kami sudah menyaksikan sendiri majlis pertunangan mereka yang juga ringkas tetapi cukup sempurna, jadi kami tak sabar untuk di’fascinate’kan lagi oleh kesempurnaan yang cukup simple dari pasangan ini. Don’t you just love it when something could be simple yet so perfect?

Seperti biasa, as we continue with the post-processing works, we cant help ourselves from ‘teasing’ you (and the couple, of course) with some shots from the wedding but for now, I think 1 will do . There will be more coming up, so keep watching this entry .

Ain is no longer Mysterious, as she is now officially Mrs. Kay .

Cherita Pictures' new logo

A quick update on what we have been up to lately :

1. Cherita Pictures now uses new logo, as shown above. We have yet to totally incorporate the new logo into our letterheads, name cards, etc. Currently working on it (did you notice that we tried to write this entry as brief as possible here? That’s because we have too many things on our to-do list).
2. Notice the new look of the website? The front-end is magazine style, so you can just ‘flip-through’ our updates the way you normally flip a magazine (literally).  If you are currently reading this article/entry from a link provided through Facebook or through your RSS reader or email subscription, you might want to click on the HOME menu afterwards to see the front-end of this website.
3. The website is not 100% complete, as Aziel is still working on some modifications to the design. Last week the website was set on maintenance mode - we purposely did not want you to see the modification work in progress, it could get nasty… . So you may consider this as the soft-launching of the new look.
